A week ago, I made an observation at Starbucks. There was a group of girls sitting down and another girl around their age. She was just standing in line, but had an upset look on her face. Her arms were crossed and brows furrowed. I wonder what was going on in her head. Was she concerned about a test? Was she upset she was not with the other girls? Did she even know them? Were they potential friends who left her out?
I've been that girl. I know what it's like to be the one doing most of the planning to hang out. I know what it's like when people are too busy to hang out but would love to hang out with others. I know what being left out feels like. I just wish I could've talked to her.

This is why I want to work with teens and young adults.

Halloween is looming around the corner. Cute kids running around in their costumes and getting free candy Mom and Dad might munch on. No matter what the age, it is a time of dressing up in outfits that would not be as socially acceptable any other day. It can be a time for scary stories and even retellings of frightening events.

In Perfect Forgiveness, Lydia showed bravery when Kirk WIlliams was shooting down the school. He was her friend and came into a classroom which belonged to both of them. She was terrified and tried talking him down. She had enough faith ing their friendship to stay in the room. Can you imagine seeing a friend of yours shoot other kids? If she felt betrayed, it did not show. She spoke to Kirk in love and grace. As Christians, we are supposed to forgive others.

One Day More Parody

Okay, I'm gonna write a parody of "One Day More" from Les Miserables. It was a great movie.

One chapter more!
Another hour, another editing
This never-ending road to Writing:
These characters who are a favorite of mine
Will surely come a second time.
One Chapter more!

I did not write that today
How can I live when that sentence looks stupid?

One chapter more.

Tomorrow I'll be worlds away
And yet with writing, my world has started!

One more day will anyone's mind be blown?

Will I ever write again?

One more day feels like no one caring.

I was born to be a writer

What a life I might have known.

And I swear I will be true!

Just know my male characters mostly  will have hair

One more day before the storm!

Do I think that's an inspiration?

One of my characters wants freedom.

Shall I join put a comma there?

When our ranks begin to form

Do I stay; and do I dare?

Will you take your place with me?

It is published now, the day is here!

One chapter more!

One more day to artistic revolution,
We will nip creativity in the bud!
I will join these little wannabes
They will want to cuss!

One chapter more!

Watch the characters run amuck,
Catch 'em as they fall,
Never know your luck
When there's a fee for all,
Here a little `pick'
There a little `touch'
Most of the books are the same
So readers won't miss much!

Students (2 Groups)
1: One day to a new beginning

2: Raise your favorite character high!

1: Every man will be a reader

2: Every woman will be a reader

1: There's a new world for the winning

2: There's a new world to be won

Do you hear the people sing?

My place is here, I write with you!

One chapter more!

I did not write this today.

Will anyone's mind be  blown!

How can I live when the first chapter hasn't started?

I will steal their imagination
I will follow the plot flow
I will learn their little hang ups
They won't know what they know

One Chapter more!

Tomorrow Ill be worlds away

What a life I might have known!

And yet with writing my world has started

One more day to artistic revolution
We will nip creativity in the bud
We'll be ready for these

Watch the characters amok
Catch 'em as they fall
Never know your luck
When there's a free-for-all!

Tomorrow we'll be published,
Tomorrow is the published date

Tomorrow we'll discover
What our author has in store!
One more dawn
One more day
One chapter more!

I Saw Another Movie!!!

Well, today a movie called "Hidden Rage" finally arrived at my house. It is a Christian movie about a school shooting and the school shooter is remorseful. The school shooter in my book, "Perfect Forgiveness" was bullied and had a broken home as well as the one in the movie and he also is remorseful. He also almost shoots one of his friends, like the scchool shooter in "Hidden Rage" almost shoots one of his bext friends.

Difference is, things seem to get better. Now they seem to in my book unless you read the tiny parts about the younger boy, Andy. We will see his point of view in my next book. The school shooting that happens in "Perfect Forgiveness" actually makes things worse for him. Maybe people should ask themselves if shooting down a school would actually end bullying or if it would increase bullying towards those who already are.

Hidden Rage was very sad at the end. The school shooter cries over what he did like the one in my book. There is a girl who is nice to him who yells for him to stop adn he tells her to leave, just like my book. Except the girl in my book doesn't leave. In my book there are thee school shooters and the one who lives actually wanted to back out a few times.
Both my book and the movie I saw teach that school shootings have a negative impact and life is about choices. Of course my book doesn't have the sinners prayer it has Baptism (Acts 2:38).

I really enjoyed the Christian rap music during the movie and the action.  Though, I am still more of a Christian rock fan. I also listen to secular music as well.

The movie also had a girl pretending to ask the guy out and my book dose have a girl fake flirting. There are some diffferences, though. The shooter in my book has a brother to take care of and it's like he's inbetween these really bad friends who pressure him into sticking to the plan. Then, there are his other friends who genuinely care for him and want ot be his friends.

Also, the one in my book drops more hints than the one in the movie I saw but is more sublte. In Hidden Rage, the guy tells his friend he's building a bomb. Kirk in Perfect Forgiveness doesn't do that.

So, please go buy "Hidden Rage" if it sounds interesting and there are trailers on Youtube. I didn't write it and didn't know about it untill a few days ago and had to order it.  It is a good redemption story and I like redemption stories.

Please also buy my book "Perfect Forgiveness" at $2.99 here:

I really like that this movie and my book speak out against bullying and speak out against tragedies such as school shootings at the same time. Killing yourself or others is never the answer.
